Nestlé baby food in glass packages marketed in the Baltic States is not linked to banana puree withdrawn from the market in France.

Nestlé baby food in glass packages marketed in the Baltic States is not linked to banana puree withdrawn from the market in France.

We want to reassure our consumers with regard to the information that appeared on social media portals.

On 29 June 2011, Nestlé France voluntarily withdrew one production batch, Nestlé P'tit Pot Recette Banana (Nestlé P'tit Pot banana puree), a baby food product in glass jars. The re-call of a batch of a given product was a preventive measure after receiving a complaint from a consumer who had found glass in a jar of puree.

The safety and quality of Nestlé products is our non-negotable priority for the company.

Nestlé France, in close cooperation with the public authorities, immediately carried out the necessary investigations. After the investigation, it became clear that this was an isolated case that affected only one particular jar of puree.

The production batch of the product in question was sold only in France.

Nestlé does not sell this product in the Baltic States.
