2015 Nestlé sales amounted to 88.8 billion Swiss francs

Nestlé's dynamic and challenging global business environment did not prevent Nestlé from achieving solid financial results last year. Nestlé's sales revenue in 2015 was 88.8 billion Swiss francs, while net profit reached 14.3 billion Swiss francs.

Nestlé's internal growth reached 4.2% last year and real internal growth reached 2.2%. The profit of the group of companies corresponding to one share rose by 6.5%, which allowed the proposed dividend to be increased to 2.25 Swiss francs per share.

Paul Bulcke, general manager of Nestlé, said it was planned to maintain similar growth this year, continue to increase profit figures and improve capital efficiency.

"In 2015, we maintained profit growth, although the industrial environment remains challenging. In addition, we maintained or safeguarded our share of products in most markets. These indicators are the result of continuous preliminary work. This year we will continue to invest our products in marketing as well as in electronic commerce. We hope that the business environment will be similar in 2016, Nestlé will maintain the same growth, but we believe that gross margins and other profit indicators, as well as profits corresponding to one share, will grow faster", said P. Bulcke, General Manager of Nestlé.

Nestlé had increasing figures in all markets last year. In the American zone, corporate growth was 5.8%; Europe, the Middle East and North Africa – 3.5%; Asia, Oceania and Sahara Africa – 1.9%.

Nestlé's business grew by 1.9% in developed markets and by as much as 7% in emerging markets.
