Nescafé introduces emoji so emotions around the world can be expressed with coffee

Tired face, cup of coffee, house, smiley face. Could I invite someone for coffee in 2016?

This is possible through the Nescafé emoji range with a range of new emoji – these little faces that bring our text messages, tweets and other messages to life – giving users the opportunity to send coffee symbols to friends and family.

The first Nescafé Emoticons app was introduced by Nescafé France in the summer of 2015. This app is now available worldwide.

Downloadable for free on both Android and iOS, Nescafé Emoticons provides the opportunity to share a very wide range of emoji built on the basis of the famous red animated version of the Nescafé mug.

With so many people sending and receiving these emoji, Nescafé France decided to make those users who include Nescafé brand symbols in their text messages and tweets into nescafé brand ambassadors.

Within months, the app was downloaded more than 50,000 times.

After its highly successful debut last year in France, the app was also introduced to central and west African markets last month, so coffee lovers around the world can now share their favourite red mug in message format.
